Ilenya Marrin has enjoyed many years in the helping professions, in Texas, London, England, Nevada, California, Vermont, Michigan and Kansas. As a child welfare social worker and supervisor for over twenty years, she handled investigations, foster care, adoptions and severely disturbed children in group home care, and served many times as an expert witness in court. She monitored and investigated group home agencies, helped them create corrective action plans, and served as a trainer and consultant during a major reorganization of the State of Vermont child welfare system. She maintained a part time private practice in psychotherapy for about 15 years, specializing in women’s and children’s issues, as well as working in community agencies, including a year of crisis counseling for youth and adolescents. She taught psychology for about 10 years in Vermont, Michigan and Kansas. She now does some life coaching and spiritual counseling.

She holds an MS in Counseling Psychology (Marriage and Family), an MA in Applied Psychology (Spiritual) and is a Doctor of Spiritual Science (DSS). She was a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for 25 years.
Home in Wichita for the past six years, Ilenya and her husband Alf share space with three lively greyhounds who love car rides and long walks. Ilenya enjoys a few volunteer activities, gardening, photography, and especially day trips to explore the amazing nooks and crannies of Kansas.
